We make use of our vast experience to build a bridgehead for your operation to leap from. When no roads, airports or trains are around, getting the last kilometres to a specific location is often very expensive or almost impossible. POLOG offers to get you there. Whether it is personnel, a small camp or haulage of tons of equipment to an exploration site we will find the right way for you.
Getting there and staying there. To operate efficiently in a remote location you will need to bring everything. For operations running for an extended period of time frequent resupplies are needed. POLOG will handle complete supply chain management and handle all steps from ordering and purchasing to delivery making sure that the operation runs smoothly and without expensive stops in production.
Using the environment to your advantage. Normally frost, snow and ice are limiting factors for operations in the Polar Regions closing down for more than 6 months. POLOG is using our vast and intensive knowledge of arctic operations to turn this into an advantage using the frozen ground, sea and snow as roads and runway. When you need to bring large amounts of equipment and supplies to locations far from a prepared airstrip POLOG has the technical and engineering competence to construct and operate runways for large aircraft operations.
Exploiting the synergy between special airplanes and ingenious people we offer to construct and operate landing sites at the location that suits your operation best. Planning the operation carefully will often enable access to even the most peculiar sites.
Service platforms like the ones POLOG operate at Constable Point and Station Nord can be set up in other locations where the basic logistics are available or can be established. A logistical hub can be established around a single helicopter and a tent, a ship and some zodiacs or a small airstrip next to a hut.
