Logistical management in North East Greenland
POLOG has a long term contract with GEUS covering their logistics in relation to a large scale hydrocarbon survey in North East Greenland.
POLOG is providing preplanning and consulting services plus the operation logistical management of the activity.
The project is roughly divided into a drilling part and a mapping part involving transport of app. 25 persons, support of field camps, coordination of fixed wing and helicopter, ship transport etc.
The project is expected to run until 2012.
"From the initiation of GEUS' current field-activities in Northeast Greenland, POLOG has been an integral part of both planning and execution of the work. POLOG has proven itself indispensable as a highly efficient and professional partner with the ability to rapidly find workable solutions to all sorts of logistical problems encountered when large groups work under difficult circumstances in a very remote area such as Northeast Greenland.”
